    Meeting LINK

    Meeting ID: 828 2774 9280
    Passcode: 943871

Would you love to get some feedback on a photo?  Maybe something you’ve submitted for competition in the past, and you have some questions about how you might have gotten a better score?  Or maybe you’re unsure how to edit a photo, and would like to solicit some opinions from some of your fellow photographers?  Or maybe you’re just excited about a photo you’ve taken and want to share it with others?  Then this Zoom meeting is for you.

During our session, you can tell us about why, where, and when you took it, what kind of gear you used, and what kind of editing decisions you’ve made in processing the photo. Then, if (and only if) you’d like, we’ll open up the discussion for others to offer comments and critiques.

In April we will focus on SCAPES images. Sharing a scapes image is a suggestion, not a requirement. If the image(s) you want to share aren't scapes, that is totally fine!

You can share your photo via Zoom screen sharing, but if you are unsure of how to do that, or uncomfortable with Zoom you may email you images to Norbert Kugele at nfkugs@mac.com. Please no more than 3 photos in .jpg format (no more than 2160 pixels on the long side)

Everyone is welcome even if you just want to listen in and not share any images.

  • May Club Meeting

    Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 7:15 p.m.

Grand Valley Artists Studio, 2661 29th St. Suite B, Grand Rapids, MI

Program: PAINTING with LIGHT, PHOTOELASTICITY, SPIROGRAPHY & More!

    Presented by Allen Brooks

Our May meeting will be a presentation by our own Allen Brooks. Allen is a very experienced studio photographer who has won many awards. His images have hung in many galleries. He has been a out-of-town member of GRCC for several years , but recently moved to the West Michigan area.

In his program, he will be showing us how he creates two types of dramatic photos. He will demonstrate how to use polarizer filters and lighting to create dazzling color splashes on rather ordinary items. He will also cover “light painting.” By using a light suspended on a string and long exposures in a darkened room, some awesome images can be made

Following our program and a short social break we will conclude the meeting by showing the May Competition images.

Guests are always welcome at our meetings, however we do ask for a $5 guest fee to help defray our expenses.
