HOW IT WORKED

A total of six teams participated in the 2023 Scavenger Hunt. Most teams consisted of 4 club members, though Team 1 only had 3 members. Teams determined independently how they would tackle the hunt list. Some shot together as team, while others teams worked individually. Some teams assigned certain subjects to specific team members. Regardless, all team members had to participate, and each team member had to have the same number of entries in the final submitted suite of 12 images (for teams of 4 each member supplied 3 images). The images had to be taken between September 21, 2023, and December 15, 2023. The teams had to submit their final suite of digital entries by January 3, 2024. In addition they provide small printed copies of the images for a Display Board.

At our January 2024 club meeting the Team Display Boards were available for viewing. In addition a slide show for each team was projected. Everyone attending the meeting then had an opportunity to cast their vote for the team that they felt best met the challenges of the Scavenger Hunt. In addition, everyone was asked to vote for their favorite “Forced Perspective” image. Congratulations to the winning team (TEAM 3) and Cindi Howard (Forced Perspective)! The entire project from start to finish was great fun, an opportunity to try new things, get creative, and get to know your fellow GRCC members!
