Wildflower Photography -
Michael Collins will be our presenter this evening. His PowerPoint presentation will be about about wildflower photography, although most of the information presented will also be pertinent to general floral photography. Michael will cover some of the equipment he uses, along with tips, techniques and examples. It will also include a few suggestions on where to find wildflowers, as well as some references for more information. He will have equipment on hand for demonstration purposes.
Michael's Biography
I've been actively interested in serious photography for just over ten years, starting with an all-manual Vivitar SLR camera, then graduating to Nikon equipment. Favorite subjects, aside from wildflowers, include lighthouses and landscapes, with the occasional wildlife shot wherever I can find them. I was a past webmaster and president for the Mid Michigan Photography Club, based in Lansing. Although I sell prints at art shows from time to time, I'm definitely keeping my day job as a systems analyst at a major insurance company based in Lansing.
